We went back to Hoyt Arboretum this afternoon and followed a map which led to trails that I haven’t been on before. Amazing or not, I have been on most of them even though there are nearly 50 miles of trails in the arboretum and connecting Forest Park. Hoyt Arboretum is home to 1,100 species of trees from around the world on 185 acres within the Portland city limits. Dogs take each moment at a time and enjoy it; they don't hold grudges; they are everyone's best friend. Dogs savor the simple things in life--a walk in the neighborhood, a pat on the head, a quiet moment in nature. Humans should take a lesson from this and take the time to enjoy the simple things that make up our every day.

I got into the tree industry because I love trees and the forest. I now try to limit my climbing so that I am not crippled when I get older. My only option now is to clear and log (from the ground). I hate cutting down so many beautiful trees. I'm trying to get a job as a truck driver.
