Dogs take each moment at a time and enjoy it; they don't hold grudges; they are everyone's best friend. Dogs savor the simple things in life--a walk in the neighborhood, a pat on the head, a quiet moment in nature. Humans should take a lesson from this and take the time to enjoy the simple things that make up our every day.

Slow & Easy
Lot's of stuff going on and I am needing to take some time to slow down and take care of myself. So, today is all about appreciating the little things.
The green of the grass
The blue of the sky (when I get to see it today.)
Breathing in and out
If I can focus on those things today, I will keep on going...

In your line of work, it's important to remember a few things: You got out of bed on your own this morning, you went to the bathroom on your own, bathed on your own, ate on your own, walked on your own and breathed without assistance. All of these things we take for granted every day until we need others to assist us with these "simple" needs. When we realize how many of these things we help others do, we can really appreciate how good a life we have. Every day is a gift from God and when I remember the things above, I can't help but have a fantastic day. I too work in health care, and I see the sick, old, stupid (drug and alcohol addicts) need help with everyday issues. I have made some pretty good choices and I have also been very fortunate.

Life Is Good!
Its always important to remember and be thankful for even the so-called "small" things.
