I don't plan to make any special resolutions for the New Year. However, I really do need to get better organized. Not so much in the business. There I am actually really organized and can put my finger on nearly anything I need at any given moment. Our own living space is another matter entirely! This last week I have been sorting photographs. It took days! Now they are all separated into folders by subject. Next it is time to organize the storage room to have a place to put the plastic file boxes. But to do that there are a few other things that will need organized—piles of this and that. I always have these great plans when we move into a new place. I plan to set every place up to have a spot for everything and I plan to keep everything in said spot. Yet somehow, the boxes get brought in before I have it started and it never comes to fruition. So, maybe now, I can accomplish this one thing that I have never before been able to finish. Maybe I will be able to have an organized living space. Then again, I did get a really good book for Christmas…
Dogs take each moment at a time and enjoy it; they don't hold grudges; they are everyone's best friend. Dogs savor the simple things in life--a walk in the neighborhood, a pat on the head, a quiet moment in nature. Humans should take a lesson from this and take the time to enjoy the simple things that make up our every day.

Snowflakes
Today I was meandering through some of my old links and found this one. It is a fun one. I enjoyed making a few flakes. I may have to get out some paper and scissors to try an old fashioned one!

White Christmas!

Merry Christmas!
Away in a manger,
No crib for His bed
The little Lord Jesus
Laid down His sweet head
The stars in the bright sky
Looked down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus
Asleep on the hay
The cattle are lowing
The poor Baby wakes
But little Lord Jesus
No crying He makes
I love Thee, Lord Jesus
Look down from the sky
And stay by my side,
'Til morning is nigh.
Be near me, Lord Jesus,
I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever
And love me I pray
Bless all the dear children
In Thy tender care
And take us to heaven
To live with Thee there

Here it is
And isn't it AWESOME!!
The 16 cubes are 13.25" square so they will hold my scrapbooking paper. I plan to get some baskets for organization. The desk hooks to the shelves and is open below. That way my rolling cart fits under it and it can be worked on from both sides! For scale there are rulers on it, the largest is 18".
New hobby
Over the summer when my niece, Mary, was visiting, she started me working with polymer clay. She is really good at it and so is another niece, Donella. I am really getting going on it lately and just wanted to share a couple of projects.
The first is a snowman about 3.5" tall. He is holding a candy cane which is upside down as a J since Jesus is the reason we celebrate.
The light bulb is actually a large replacement bulb covered with clay. The red clay has glitter in it and the green wraps around in the sjape of holly leaves. Believe it or not the lettering is a stamp with dye ink. It baked right on the clay. Who would've thought?!
Anyway, I am enjoying doing projects and being creative. Just wait until I get some photos of what Jeff got me for Christmas! He wanted me to have a space close to our resident's to work on them so he got me something REALLY cool!
