Quote of the Day

When buying and selling are controlled by legislation, the first things to be bought and sold are legislators.

~P. J. O'Rourke

And that is why the market was intended to be free. Why is it my responsibility to bail out home buyers and other people who made poor choices? When we purchased our current home to start our business, we went out on a limb. We could have lost everything. But it was our decision to make and our responsibility to make payments. We would not have expected anyone to bail us out. And no one should bail us out if we fail. It was our choice therefore our responsibility.

Yep, the whole current mess came from government interference - legislation forcing lenders to give mortgages to bad risk people.

Amen, sister! And did you know that only 1% (get that? ONE PERCENT) of Americans are facing this problem. One percent is not a problem!
I'll quit here cuz I could really get going.

I couldn't agree with you more! Why should we working stiffs bail out these people, because that's what it amounts to. After all, the government doesn't have any money other than what it takes from us in taxes! This entire thing really gripes me. :(
