Dogs take each moment at a time and enjoy it; they don't hold grudges; they are everyone's best friend. Dogs savor the simple things in life--a walk in the neighborhood, a pat on the head, a quiet moment in nature. Humans should take a lesson from this and take the time to enjoy the simple things that make up our every day.

Lake Oswego Lights
This evening we joined a volkswalk through Lake O neighborhoods to view the lights. It was so cold that we just went the 4K walk. They are expecting a low of 24 F tonight, but I would have said it was -24 with the wind chill. During the next couple of weeks, we will probably not have regular "weekly hikes" so we will fill in with whatever we can.

You know the Grimm boys with the service station up on the hill there. well Mark was my roommate in college a hundred years ago.
I once took my wife down to one of the "rich" neighborhoods to see the lights. I was amazed at how few there were, infact, almost none. I found out later the the neighborhood was predominantly jewish.
