Life...

Just a quick update on life in my house...

1.  Hubby is home!  We spent the entire day together and it was wonderful!

2.  I registered for the Girlfriend's Half in October. It will be my first all women's race and I am really excited.  There are a number of Loopers running it for Lady Loopfest 2011.

3.  A new resident moved in on Monday.  He has declined a lot since I first met him on Saturday.  He will probably not live more than a few more days.  Sigh...

4.  I did my long run outside last Friday and my cough is back.  Yep, I am relegated to the treadmill until spring.  I will resign myself to that.  Of course, I planned a pyramid elevation workout on Monday and the elevation broke.  No more hill work on the 'mill.  Rats!  That was one way to change up the workouts and make the time go faster.

5.  Did I mention my hubby is home?!  I missed him soooo much!

Good to hear your hubby is home!

Lady looperfest? Hmmm... October? Early or late?

I have heard that to kill the treadmill doldrums you can reset it every 5 miles. Ha...anyway, I have yet to try that...hope the cough is gone better soon!

I sent my wife the link to that race, now I just need to sit up really late at night and whisper in her ear that she and her friend want to run that race.

I'm glad to see that you did not consider putting 2x4's under your TM to get elevation. That would be very unstable, although you could build some sort of REALLY wide stout ramp to slide it up and down, then you would get your weights in at the same time.

YAY for the hubby being home! =) I hope the Girlfriend's Half is really fun for you - please give my love to all loopsters you meet up with.

It must be difficult when your residents pass away. How wonderful they're in a place where they're loved and cared for.

I'm so sorry you're relegated to the TM (someone on the Daily mile started calling them "Joymills" in an attempt to reconcile themselves to the tm. =)) I'm also sorry the elevation broke on you mill!

It's wonderful having the DH's home, isn't it? =)

I'm sure hubby is looking forward to his long "honey-do" list now that his solo vacation is over :)
